Word of the Week: Celebration
12/18-12/22/2023 Week in Review:
As we bid farewell to the last week of 2023, we find ourselves immersed in a spirit of celebration, reflecting on the remarkable journey we've shared throughout the year. The heartbeat of our community resonates with joy and accomplishment as we eagerly anticipate the festivities that lie ahead.
The pinnacle of our celebrations this week was the Winter Expo, a magnificent showcase of the collective efforts and talents within our fellows. Fellows took center stage with a stamp-making station, inviting attendees to leave their unique mark on the canvas of the day. The photo booth became a lively hub of laughter and memories, capturing the essence of the festivities. The highlight, however, was the raffle—a true showcase of our community's generosity. Prizes ranging from a coveted one-year membership to CPW, a gift card to the beloved Black Eyed Suzie, to exquisite jewelry. We also had our community quilt, a masterpiece woven with threads of collaboration and care. Countless hands contributed to this symbol of unity to create something truly extraordinary.
The Winter Expo stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and community spirit. It's a vibrant reflection of what we can achieve when we join hands and work towards a shared vision.
As we embrace the promise of a new year, we can't help but feel a sense of excitement for the adventures that await us. The canvas of 2024 is blank, awaiting the strokes of our collective efforts, ideas, and dreams. Let us march forward with enthusiasm, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact in the places we serve.
As we pause to celebrate, let's extend our gratitude to the entire Place Corps community for making this year memorable. Each of you has played a crucial role in the success and vibrancy of our organization, and for that, we are truly thankful.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and looking forward to embarking on new adventures together in the coming year.
Have a great weekend,
Place Corps Team
