12/2-12/6 Week in Review

Hello Friends,

Word of the week: Love

As we began our Love trimester, Love was a fitting word to guide us through the week. We reflected on the things we love about ourselves and our lives, creating a warm and affirming start to this next chapter. To top it off, we enjoyed our fellowship’s favorite meal for the third year running: chicken alfredo—a comforting tradition that truly brought us together.

We are also excited to welcome a new fellow—Welcome, Mia!

Our kitchen received a little extra love as well. We rolled up our sleeves for a deep clean, tackling the refrigerator, organizing the pantry, taking stock of groceries, and consolidating our spices. The result? A space so tidy and functional it could grace the pages of a home organization magazine!

We attended our last orientation session at Kingston Ceramics and had the pleasure of seeing the finished, glazed pieces that fellows created. The vibrant colors and thoughtful designs were a testament to the love and effort the fellows poured into their work. Seeing these completed projects was a proud and inspiring moment for all of us.

This week also brought creative energy into the mix with a group photoshoot showcasing our upcycled, hand-printed Place Corps gear. These items will soon be available for purchase. Fellows took on a variety of roles—some modeling, others working behind the scenes on lighting and photography. The day was filled with creative problem solving, collaboration, and plenty of laughter.

At the Hudson River Maritime Museum, we dove headfirst into the boat-building process. Fellows sanded, milled, mixed epoxy, and glued boards together. While the big picture isn’t fully visible yet, the individual pieces are coming together beautifully. The enthusiasm for this hands-on project is going full throttle into the new year.

Wishing you a weekend filled with love and inspiration!

Have a good weekend,

Place Corps Team
