2/5-2/9 Week in Review

Hello Friends,

The word of the week:“Strong”

This week, our journey led us to celebrate the Asian New Year, which falls on February 10th. Embracing the spirit of the occasion, we chose the word of the week by reflecting on the characteristic traits of a dragon, the animal representing the year 2024. Our celebrations commenced with a memorable activity – crafting dumplings together. From kneading the dough to preparing the filling, the process served as a strong bonding experience that set the tone for our week.

Venturing into the realm of timeless art, we visited the renowned Clark Art Institute. Here, we immersed ourselves in the masterpieces of Degas, Monet, and an array of classic artists. Beyond the artistic treasures, we marveled at the Institute's architecture, characterized by its robust cement walls juxtaposed with expansive glass windows. Following our cultural excursion, we indulged in a culinary adventure at a Korean restaurant. The feast included an array of banchan (side dishes) that complemented the main courses, enriching our palates and cultural understanding.

Our exploration of strength extended to the Hudson River Maritime Museum, where we delved into the world of boats. Amidst discussions on various vessel types, we contemplated the physical fortitude required for boats to bear substantial loads and navigate the formidable tides of the Hudson River. Beyond the tangible strength of these vessels, we also reflected on the resilience and mental fortitude essential for confronting life's challenges.

Through the lens of a camera, we discover the strength of connections that bind us together in the vibrant tapestry of life. In our adventures with CPW, we not only explore the world through the artistic eye but also forge enduring bonds with one another. Together, we embark on a journey where each image becomes a testament to the strength of our connections, both behind and in front of the camera lens.

In our conversations about strength, we acknowledge not only its physical manifestations but also its profound mental significance. As we navigate the currents of life, let us draw inspiration from the resilience of the dragon and embody the strength needed to overcome obstacles, both tangible and intangible.

Wishing you a week filled with fortitude and resilience.

Have a good weekend,
