2/26-3/1 Week in Review

Hello Friends,

Word of the week: “Courage”

As we reflect on the past week, courage has been the guiding force for our fellows in various endeavors. From expressing themselves through art to sharing personal narratives, our community has embraced courage at every turn.

Nina from Sky High Farms inspired our fellows to embrace courage in envisioning and designing dream gardens for our Place Corps project. These gardens not only symbolize creativity but also signify our commitment to community enhancement. By contemplating the potential impact of our garden, we demonstrate courage in addressing communal needs and fostering sustainability. We were also so excited as we received our Converses from Sky High Farms, marking our involvement in their upcoming documentary. This recognition highlights the courage of our fellows in actively engaging with projects beyond our immediate scope, amplifying our impact and outreach.

The highlight of the week was the presentation of the Place Story Project at the Reher Center. This momentous occasion required immense courage as fellows bravely shared their narratives with a diverse audience. Despite the inherent vulnerability of baring their souls, each fellow spoke passionately about their connection to place, inspiring all who listened.

Public speaking remains one of the most daunting challenges for many, yet our fellows tackled it with courage and grace. Stepping onto the stage, they conquered their fears and delivered compelling presentations that captivated the audience. Their bravery serves as a reminder that courage is the key to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.

Amidst the nerves and excitement, the presentation at the Reher Center was a beautiful testament to the power of courage and storytelling. As we gathered to listen and share, we were reminded of the strength that lies within each of us. Let us carry this spirit of courage into the week ahead, embracing challenges with determination and resilience.

We encourage you all to embrace courage in your endeavors. Whether pursuing your passions or facing challenges head-on, may you find the strength to persevere and the courage to chase your dreams.

Have a good weekend,

Place Corps Team

:)
