Pumpkin Carving Season πŸŽƒπŸ‘»

Hello Friends: Week in Review: 10/30/2023-11/3/2023

As we bid farewell to the week of Halloween, we hope you had a spooktacular time! This week, our activities were a perfect blend of creativity, culinary delights, and thought-provoking discussions.

In the spirit of ghoulish fun, our fellows gathered for a pumpkin carving extravaganza. Take a look at the pictures! Armed with knives and imagination, we transformed plain pumpkins into works of art. The result? A delightful assortment of grinning jack-o'-lanterns, spooky scenes, and even some friendly witches.

On a crisp autumn day, our fellows headed to Tilda's Kitchen in Kingston, NY with Karine from kAn Landscape Design. The fellows have been working on the Moon Trail project that aims to provide free menstruation products to those in need, championing menstrual equity and promoting dignity for all.

The Moon Trail project is our commitment to addressing an often-overlooked issueβ€”access to menstrual hygiene products. The lack of access can have profound consequences on individuals' lives, including school attendance, work productivity, and overall well-being. Our Place Corps fellows have taken this challenge head-on and have made substantial strides toward making a positive change.

As we make progress on the Moon Trail project, we invite all members of our community to join us on this incredible journey. Whether it's through product donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about this initiative, your support is invaluable. Tilda’s will be the location of our first Moon Trail Project Kickoff. Please save the date for Friday, November 17th from 4:00-6:00 PM and join us for our launch.

Thank you for being part of this inspiring journey. Stay inspired, stay creative, and stay tuned for more exciting adventures in the weeks to come!

Have a great weekend,
Place Corps Team
:)
