SERVICE STUDY
Service Study is a miniature internship in which Place Corps fellows embed in local organizations and small businesses to explore an interest, gain professional skills and knowledge, and receive mentorship from a community member.
2024 SERVICE STUDY PARTNERS:
CPW Kingston: At CPW fellow Memphis had the opportunity to learn about the inner working of the organization and help to put on weekly public events at CPW photography gallery.
Kingston Acupuncture: At Kingston acupuncture fellow Lashia learned about the inner working of a local business, was introduced to office administration and was introduced to the practice of acupuncture.

Kingston Ceramics Studio: At Kingston Ceramics Studio fellow Nadia learned how a small business runs while also supporting the daily operations of a busy ceramics studio with hands on work.

Kingston Land Trust: At Kingston Land Trust fellow Isabella explored both the conservation side of Land Trusts and the organizational side. Isabella learned about regional plants through hands-on work out in the field, while also supporting the organization through email communications and research.

Radio Kingston: At Radio Kingston, fellow Haley Baker learned about the production side of Radio while also gaining exposure to the many elements that go into running a local radio station.

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary: At Woodstock Farm Sanctuary fellow Kailee learned about animal care and farm maintenance while also learning about veganism as a philosophy and furthering her veterinary knowledge.
