It's Friday!

Our year together is coming to an end. With so many beginnings and becomings, this closing is bittersweet. We are so thrilled to have had the privilege to learn and grow with this special Place Corps Community. Congratulations to the cohort of 2019!

This past week, the Place Corps community convened virtually from far and wide to share in being present for the cohort's final presentations. View the cohort yearbook here and the portfolios here. This Friday, May 8th, we hold our completion ceremony to celebrate a year of unlearnings and rememberings. This next week will bring more notes on the closing and saying farewell for now to Place Corps and campus, including a visioning workshop and house walk through.

Our word of the week is unfurl, for this past year has been an experience of unfurling into and out of one's self and so many known ways of seeing, knowing, and relating. We have loudly and sometimes timidly, but always courageously, stretched and spread out into our edge zones of rich discovery. We have extended our roots to the wisdom of our interconnected lineages and ancestors. We have opened ourselves to be vulnerable to knowing that we may not know and knowing that we do not realize we already know. We hope this year of unfurling has been a year of joy, delight, celebration and discovery.

What is education:
An opportunity to become more fully ourselves.
