Our funding model is a long term investment in sustainable and joyful livelihoods for all, with generational impact evident decades after first seeds are planted.
We believe that it is our community responsibility to support the development of our shared future; however, we recognize that our localized communities have not grown in equitable ways due to histories of oppression and extraction. Place Corps’ financial models ensure all participants have equitable access to attend. For these reasons a community learning program should be financially supported in ways that act to reharmonize a place.
Each unique Place Corps program develops a funding model that is determined by that specific location's resources and needs, as illustrated below:

Place Corps Cost Analysis
A 10-month Place Corps Fellowship in the Hudson Valley, NY has an average annual budget of $625,000. This amount includes materials, food, and transportation along with stipends and completion awards given to all fellows. The fellowship serves sixteen fellows annually and is high-touch with a 4:1 student to facilitator relationship.
