Fees and Payment
Tuition is $10,800.00. Spaces will be reserved upon receipt of both application form and a $2000 deposit. The balance of the fee is due on May 1st. For registrations made after May 1st, tuition is due in full at the time of registration. ***See payment methods and scholarships below
What’s Included
The fee includes registration and tuition fees, accommodation, all art, farming, and building supplies, use of studio equipment, field trip transportation, and trainings.
What’s Not Included
Personal transportation, books, personal project expenses, insurance.
Availability
Spaces are limited to 18 residents per year. Registrations are processed in the order received. Late applicants may reserve a spot on the waiting list with a fully refundable $150 deposit.
Payment Methods
All payments must be made in USD. Payment can be made by wire transfer, Visa/ or MasterCard or check. Once we have received your application form, the person responsible for payment will receive an email with detailed instructions. Payment plans are available.
Age
GROWING RADICAL is for people aged 15-19.
Refund Policy
A full refund will be given if a request is received in writing at Place Corps by April 1st. Requests received by April 1st will be given a full refund minus an administrative fee of $1,200.00. No refunds are given for cancellations received after April 1st. Once the program has started, no refunds are granted for early voluntary withdrawal, absences or behavioral dismissals (decisions which are at the sole discretion of Place Corps). In the event that a cohort is cancelled by Place Corps for whatever reason, all fees will be refunded.
Medical Insurance
Medical insurance is not included in the program fee. All residents must have medical insurance prior to their arrival at Place Corps.
Travel to and from Place Corps
Travel is not included in the fee. Residents arriving without a personal vehicle can bring a bike to use as personal transportation between the Hawthorne Valley Campus, Farm, and Farm Store which is 1 mile away from the Place Corps Homestead and learning campus. Past residents have found their experience strengthened by having a vehicle. Place Corps encourages fellows and residents to create shared vehicle arrangements that honor sharing costs while lowering the carbon footprint.
