DRAWING DOWN AND PULLING UP
In this week’s IMA workshop Rachel and Steffen offered threads of connection with plant gestures that paralleled conditions of precarity, contamination, vulnerability, and collaboration:
The forces drawing down, pulling up, shaping us - they are in assemblage and they are through difference and encounter, and they are cosmic in cyclical time.
The shared rhythms but multi-temporalities of expansion and contraction in growth, change, movement.
The potential of swelling nodes and unpredictable transformations.
These have stayed with me this week as we visit and learn more about local efforts, as patterns repeat themselves, and as we assembled in Place Corps weave our way in world-making.
