Place Corps’ main learning campus is located on the Hawthorne Valley farm in Ghent, NY. Growing Radical residents spend most of their time around campus and in the surrounding area. On campus, you can create in the ceramics or dance studio, walk the fields, visit the farm store and cafe, swim in the lake, or bike the hills. Around campus, you can enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the Catskill Mountains, or swimming in local watering holes and waterfalls. After the workshops of the day, seek a private spot under a tree in the fields or forest to read a book, or challenge a new friend to a card game. Sit back and enjoy a movie on the outdoor projector, make some music around our campfire, or stargaze in the garden. Come enjoy summer in the Hudson Valley!
Place Corps’ campus is uniquely situated between the Hudson Valley and the Berkshires, with each area offering rich cultural histories, beautiful landscapes, and diverse learning institutions that are an endless source of inspiration.
